John Lewis, Cambridge
Workplace Art has been appointed to work with John Lewis in the commissioning of public works of art for all new department stores.
Sophie Dickens was commissioned to create an oak sculpture which emphasises the spirit of mutuality and nurture, in keeping with the ethos of the client and the Cambridge environs. Another element consisted of a stainless steel mesh sculpture within the perfumery section that captures the essence of elegance and design through the interpretation of a piece that resonates within the image of a ribbon.
Lastly, an oil on canvas triptych based on local architecture, was commissioned for the main entrance area.
